Reality Is The Mirror Of Your Thoughts. Choose Well What You Put In Front Of The Mirror.

I received a couple of emails last week asking me how I manage to stay positive. The answer is simple; positive thoughts. Positive thoughts manifests positive actions, in other words what the mind seeks..it will find. Yes I have my moments when it is hard to remain positive. It is at those times that I reach for a book, read positive affirmations, or clear my mind by praying/meditating and asking for clarity.

See No Evil - Hear No Evil - Speak No Evil - One of my favorite phrases, which has the same principle as cause and effect. Putting positive causes out there will have a wonderful impact on your karmatic experience.

Hear No Evil - I tend to shy away from people that have a defeatist attitude, and gravitate to those with more of a positive outlook on life. Try to eliminate your contact with those that are chronically negative, especially those that put others down. If eliminating them out of your life is not an option, enforce very strong boundaries so that they are unable to drain your energy.
Speak No Evil - Eliminate words like "I can't" and "impossible" out of your vocabulary. Using phrases like those will stop you from searching for solutions to your problems. Instead, replace those feelings of doubt with questions such as "how can I" and "what do I need to do to make this possible".
Pay someone a sincere compliment at least once a day, chances are your compliment will make their day a bit brighter, and they will pass that sunshine along to others.

  5. I've just started following your blog last wee and i think you're so beautiful and from what i read so far i would say that your beauty also comes from the inside which is a huge blessing. You seem so down to earth and that's what drew me to follow your blog. I give credits and compliments where its due, i'm not gonna say "no homo" like others just to make sure my sexuality is not mistaken, lol that's so stupid to me. But anyway enough of the blabbing, keep up the good work.

    P.S
it's all your fault! now i'm eager to start thrifting. Something I've never done b4,but seeing the things you get from thrifting had my jaws to the floor, lol. Thanks!

  7. we often forget how strong the mind is and if you take the time to be positive and seek positive people you will see results. it's the same way of thinking about anything in life, practice makes perfect. i've been doing my best to maintain this principle of positive thinking and even though it's been hard it's a change that will carry me through the rest of my life. and finally it was love at first sight with your blog, keep up the good work.

  10. Wow...really love this post. Isn't it funny that the people who are negative usually describes themselves as being "realistic" or "well meaning"..lol, watch out for those phrases, because they are really there to destroy your dreams! And when I do encounter negative individuals, I try to learn from their behavior, which is taking something negative and changing it to a positive.

    Love your blog!!!!!!!!

  21. True Story! I had to let go of a close friend in college because she was the most negative person I have ever met in my life. She would put me down without even in realize it. I couldn't let her bring me down with her. I found her on facebook, and sadly she is still negative 10 years later.

  22. You are such a beautiful soul! What a positive blog posting! I had a let go of a lot of people that I've known for most of life because all they brought was negativity in my life. My life feels more free and full of possibility because I don't have anyone trying to steal my sunshine! Could you possibly recommend books for positive thinking and living?

  24. I will say that I agree with you completely. I try to live my life as the Secret would allow, but its not always so easy. Negative thoughts sometimes creep in. Its a real effort for me to think differently. Positive thinking breeds positive actions, results. You look stunning in the photos, btw.

  25. I have been enjoying your blog so much and I check it everyday. You have def inspired me to do some thrifting and last night I even had a dream that I was shopping at an estate sale lol. I am natural as well (I transitioned for 3 years and now have wsl natural hair) and I have been missing the bangs I had when I was relaxed. You cutting your hair is making me want to cut some bangs as well! I also have MAC Lustering and it is the perfect hot pink lipstick and looks great on our skin tone (we actually have the same complexion). I love the photos and your positivity is contagious :)
