I am so over my hair guys! I plan to spend this weekend experimenting with roller-sets and bantu knot outs because it's time for a change! I went out and purchased some rollers, lottabody, and a few other odds and ends so hopefully I will have a roller set video up next week. If the video never makes the light of day, it's safe to say that it was an epic fail.
These pics are of me goofing around in Vegas last week. We stopped by this really cool building called the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, and decided to snap some quick pics. The building has a new age Alice & Wonderland/Dr. Seuss type feel.
I got the shirt from The Boogie Den, my belt & purse from an Estate Sale, and my skirt from Goodwill. I think the total outfit was about $5 not including my shoes.
Wearing:
Top: Vintage
Belt: Vintage
Purse: Vintage
Skirt: Vintage
Shoes: Tory Burch
I love your bag, nice pics. :)
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to start thrifting something serious. Then I can save my money for shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you dress! and your hair..
ReplyDeletewow the construction of that place is lovely...awesome pictures.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots with the letters...
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for other photo obsessed people! lol... Your shots are always very nice.
Luv it Nik!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pics! Nooooo, please say it ain't so!?!? My hair idol can't be over her hair!!! LOL! Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics. That building is freaky looking (in a good way!).
ReplyDeleteYou can give me your hair any day. I'd slap it on a track and keep it moving. Looking forward to seeing what styles you come up with this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow. That purse was such a great find, and good luck with your rollerset.
ReplyDeleteBantu knot outs are the truth. I rocked them for about three months. IMO, they look like a roller set. Do it, Do it. I would love to see how it turns out on hair your length. Great pics.
ReplyDeleteI tried a rollerset last week, didnt come out straight but it was wavy and farah fawcett like. The pic isnt so great, but trust me it was cute in person!

I LOVE your blog by the way :-)
ReplyDeleteI was so at that building las weekend, it's near the premium outlets! It reminds me of a warped version of the Disney Concert Hall, no?
ReplyDeleteThis building is such a perfect backdrop. I love the photo of you sitting in the "L," you look so great (not that you don't always!). The outfit is great too - I've been really feeling tiny floral prints lately, so obviously your skirt is right in line with my current mindset!
ReplyDeleteNicole I happened upon your blog a few days ago and your pictures are stunning. Do you use a tripod to take them yourself or are they taken by a photographer?
ReplyDelete$5??? that's crazy good, even for thrifted items.
ReplyDeletegood luck with your hair. it looks great to me!
Have fun with your hair. Hmmm that building looks like a Frank Gehry design...
ReplyDeletecute outfit & lovely pics; the setting is cool.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous luv!!! Thrifting ROCKS init?!! the backdrop is also stunning i might add.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the skirt and bag - so super cute. And I can attest to spending pennies on clothes but investing in amazing shoes. I do it all the time lol. I've nominated you for an award on my blog! You're one of my fave 15: http://lovebrownsugar.blogspot.com/2010/06/lbs-blog-love-shoe-giveaway-winner.html
ReplyDeleteJust popped in to say your hair is the bizness! (yes I know how to spell business, I misspelt it for emphasis) :-)
ReplyDeleteI would like to have even half your thickness. It's like I have a head full of baby hairs - my strands are so fine. I doubt there's anyone with strands as microscopic as mine...oh well...at least I have some density.
The building reminds me of something by Frank Gehry.
ReplyDeleteThe building is thankfully bizarre. How innovative! And you hair is as bodacious as ever! Looks great!
